Craig Lamotte started his photographic career at age eighteen as a Daily Telegraph photographer. He spent the next fifteen years as a photographer for The Woman’s Weekly whilst also carving out a reputation as an incisive political photographer for the Bulletin magazine.
Since settling in the Whitsundays in 1984, Craig moved into the field of postcards, which combine his love of nature and photography. Lamotte Edition postcards have a variety of designs across ten regions of Australia showing Craig’s distinctive photographic style. Craig Lamotte’s images capture the beauty and grandeur of the Australian landscape. These images have been transformed into archival photographic prints for all to enjoy.
Craig's camera of choice is the Mamiya RB67 medium format camera and the Nikon SLR 35ml camera. All his photographs are taken on transparencies and reproduced on archival photographic paper.
